The group is made up of 30 (6 adults and 24 students mostly seniors and recent grads) from Hernando, MS. Hernando is in the extreme NW corner of Mississippi, just south of Memphis, TN.
Their tour leader's (teacher) name is Mr. Edwards (Andy) and this is his first trip as leader but has attended the training tour last summer in Paris.
I don't know if the young woman in the photo is one of the 6 adults but if I had to guess I'd say yes. We'll find out mid-day June 9. : -)
The smaller group will be led by Jim Dornan from Longmont, Colorado. His group is made up of 2 adults, Jim and his brother plus 2 females both seniors and two male students both Juniors.
Mr. Dornan has traveled before with EF Tours but this is his first tour as Tour Leader.
Longmont is located about 40-50 miles north of Denver just off the interstate.
Other good news is that an update on the weather on Monday June 9th shows that the rain predicted earlier happens on Sunday and the forecast now shows cool temperatures but a partly cloudy day. Keep in mind that we are still 10 days out and this could change again. The need for an umbrella and light jacket or sweater are still something to keep in mind.
This is a picture of our Tour Director Felicity Pinder who will likely be the one meeting us at Heathrow Airport in London. She will travel with us for the entire tour and will be responsible for arranging arrival times at each site we visit, including meals, hotels and historic sites we visit. She will serve as our interpreter and guide as well as we move from London to Paris, Bastogne and Berlin.
The weather upon arrival looks like it might be a little wet, so make sure that you have an umbrella handy in your carry on luggage. The temps will be much cooler on our arrival than what we've been experiencing at home so you will also want a light jacket or sweater to use if needed. Rain or shine we'll be out in the city so make sure that you are prepared for cool and damp weather . . . it's London!
